Bollinger Unveils 2007 RD Champagne

MarketWatch highlighted the U.S. release of R.D. 2007 in its new products section, adding that “the vintage pays tribute to Lily Bollinger, who led the company from 1941 to 1971.”

The write up shares context, explaining that “2007 RD ($300 a 750-ml.) is an old vintage released shortly after its disgorgement and with a very low dosage, as Madame Bollinger released a 1952 vintage offering in 1967. The new release features labeling resembling that same 1952 vintage. A blend of 70% Pinot Noir and 30% Chardonnay, it’s composed of grapes from 14 crus, of which 91% are grand crus and 9% are premier crus. 2007 Bollinger RD is available nationwide.” Read the full piece HERE

Bollinger is one of the rare Grande Marques that’s still family owned. Known for its rich, elegant and polished style of Champagne, their outstanding wines are the result of rigorous attention to detail and incredibly labor-intensive practices that few houses are willing to undertake. Underscoring its excellence, Bollinger has remained British secret agent James Bond's Champagne of choice since 1973.
